Together, a l l l i v e f r e e l y

Our journey with food allergies began when our first child had a severe reaction to a piece of bread—a frightening experience that rocked our world. A diagnosis of multiple life-threatening allergies drove us into a life of strict food avoidance and constant vigilance around everyday moments like attending events, traveling, and eating meals. A few years later, our daughter was diagnosed with a different set of food allergies, and our challenges doubled.

By navigating these hurdles with our own children, we gained wisdom, resilience, and a deep understanding of what it means to manage daily life with restrictions. By creating systems, staying informed and building strategies, we gained the empowerment to advocate for our family.

Our story is the foundation of A L I V L Y, inspired by a mission to ease the mental and physical load and give a life lived more freely.

Amy is a coach for families navigating the complexities of food allergies, recognized for her thoughtful and practical approach that turns overwhelm into structure.

A New York native, Amy and her husband moved their family to Seattle in 2017. She is the mother of two children, both diagnosed with life-threatening food allergies in early childhood. After a decade in corporate retail, she chose to step away from her career to focus on her children’s safety and wellbeing.

Amy’s work with schools began as a volunteer where she focused on creating safer environments for children with food allergies. She often leads the food component at school events, making sure students with dietary restrictions can participate safely. Over time, she took on formal roles within the school, gaining hands-on experience supporting students with diverse needs, and quickly became known as a key resource for all aspects of food allergy. Amy continues her work in the community by raising awareness, implementing safety practices, and fostering inclusive environments.

When her family began a rigorous food allergy immunotherapy program in California, Amy became the full time dose-prepper, symptom-tracker, and behind the scenes allergy-manager.

Through A L I V L Y, Amy creates the systems and provides the insights she developed along the way, helping families approach allergy life with clarity and confidence.

Amy currently lives in Seattle with her husband, son and daughter. When she is not talking about food allergies, she is spending time with family and friends, discovering new gluten-free foods or playing tennis.
